We offer a range of swimming lessons / sessions for all ages and abilities, from parent and toddler sessions through to pre-school, junior and adult. These take place throughout the year in the safe environment of the main pool and teaching pool. All instructors are qualified and experienced swimming teachers who constantly encourage, help and support all swimmers.

Our programme follows the STA international learn to swim framework. All information relating to this can be found on the STA website, www.sta.co.uk. Further information can be found in the FAQ document located at the bottom of this page.

Our waiting list for junior and adult swimming lessons is NOW open.

Please note, refunds will not be given for lessons that you are unable to attend.

Lesson types

Parent and toddler swimming course

Our parent and toddler swimming courses (term time) and are suitable for children aged 0 to 3 years and take place over a 10 week period. Aimed at developing water confidence and incorporating music, our parent and toddler courses are an ideal initiation into the water for babies and toddlers. Led by a qualified instructor, your little one will work through the STA swimming programme and gain certificates along the way. Parents and/or carers are required to go in the water with their child.

Time: Wednesdays, 9.30am - 10am or 10am - 10.30am

Cost: £80.00. A 50% discount is available for Options+ leisure card discount holders.

Our adult swimming lessons run all year round and are suitable for beginners through to improvers. The course of lessons take place on a weekly basis and must be pre-booked. Please call the centre on 01384 812800 (option 2).

Tuesday: 11am to 11.30am, suitable for beginners

Tuesday: 6.30pm to 7pm, suitable for beginners

Thursday: 6.30pm to 7pm, suitable for beginners & Improvers

Saturday: 12pm to 12.30pm, suitable for beginners & Improvers

Get your little ones started on their swimming journey with our exciting pre-school swimming lessons, designed for children aged 2½ years and above!

Key Highlights:

• Parents/carers can watch from the side - no need to get in the water!

• Only 6 places per class for focused, high-quality teaching.

• The duration of the lesson is half an hour.

• Build water confidence and learn essential swimming skills in a fun, safe environment.
