Children can keep busy over the school holidays with fun activities taking place across Dudley borough leisure centres and the Dell Stadium.
Free Swimming
At Crystal, Duncan Edwards and Halesowen Leisure Centres
Free swimming is returning for children in the borough over the school holidays – but youngsters will now have to be accompanied by an adult aged 18 years or above.
The offer will be available at all of our leisure centres - the new Duncan Edwards Leisure Centre in Dudley, Crystal Leisure Centre in Stourbridge and Halesowen Leisure Centre.
Free swimming will run from Tuesday 22 July to Sunday 31 August inclusive and any child aged 16 or under living in the borough can sign up.

Young people taking advantage of the free swimming offer must be supervised by a responsible adult aged 18 or over. They do not have to accompany children over the age of eight into the swimming pool but must remain in the leisure centre and be contactable should any issues arise.
Children under the age of eight must be accompanied into the water by an adult or responsible person over 18 years of age. One adult must accompany no more than two children under the age of eight into the swimming pool.
Children aged 16 and under who turn up unaccompanied will be charged the normal admission price.
People who are not previously registered for free swimming must do so at www.freeswimindudley.co.uk in advance of their swim.
Family Fun Disability Swims
Family fun disability swims, which are designed for people with disabilities, special educational needs and ASD, will be held at Crystal Leisure Centre, Duncan Edwards Leisure Centre and Halesowen Leisure Centre. Children can use the free-swimming offer for these sessions.
Crystal Leisure Centre: Friday 25 July, 1, 8, 15, 22 and 29 August; 2pm to 4pm (last admission 2.45pm)
Duncan Edwards Leisure Centre: Wednesday 23 and 30 July, 6, 13, 20 and 27 August; 2.45pm to 4.30pm
Halesowen Leisure Centre: Saturday 26 July, 2, 9, 23 and 30 August; 2.15pm to 3.30pm (Please note that due to a gala taking place, there will be no session available on Saturday 16 August. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.)
Please be aware that this is not a coached session and children under the age of eight must be accompanied in and out of the water by a responsible person aged at least 16 years old.

Waikiki Waves Family Disco
at Crystal Leisure Centre
Come along and have fun at our family water disco!
Exclusively for families* only! Come along and have fun in the leisure pool at our water disco, with music from a DJ.
Bodyboards and beachballs can be brought into the session (not surf boards). Other inflatables, flippers and snorkels are NOT permitted.
Bodyboards and beach balls can be purchased from reception.
Day: Every Friday (all year round)
Time: 6.00pm - 8.00pm (last admission 7.00pm)
Costs: Adults £9, Juniors (5 - 15 year olds) £8, Under 5s £5.50 and Under 2s £3
Family ticket available for £28 (entry for 2 adults, 2 children or 1 adult, 3 children)

Please be aware that during Waikiki Waves, there will be bright flashing lights that may cause discomfort and / or seizures for those with photosensitive epilepsy.

Planet Play (soft play)
The Planet Play areas at Duncan Edwards Leisure Centre and Halesowen Leisure Centre offer soft play sessions for children up to the age of 11 during school holidays. People are advised to call in advance to check opening times and availability. More information on soft play at DB Leisure.
SEN Sessions
The sessions are suitable for children under 11 years of age with disabilities, special educational needs, ASD and their siblings. Sessions take place as follows:

Under 5s Splash Time
at Halesowen Leisure Centre
Come along and get your little ones water confident!
This is a non-instructor led session that takes place in the learner pool. A variety of toys, including watering cans and boats will be available for your child to enjoy.
Day and time of session:
Friday: 9.30am to 11.30am (all year round)
**In addition to the Friday session, Under 5s Splash Time will also take place on the following dates:
Monday 21 and 28 July, 4, 18 and 25 August from 9.30am to 11.30am.
Pre-booking not required, normal admission prices apply.
This session is not included in the free swimming scheme and is suitable for children under five years of age and parents / carers only.
Under 5s Stay and Play
at Crystal Leisure Centre
Stay and Play fun session for under 5s is a great way for you and your little one to interact with other families and make new friends in a fun, friendly and relaxed environment.
This supervised session includes a range of fun and exciting toys such as a bouncy castle, soft balls, frisbees, foam bricks, tricycles, sit and ride cars and bikes. Educational toys are also available (road and traffic signs).
Day and time of session
Tuesday: 10am - 11am (all year round)
This ‘turn up and pay’ session takes place in our sports hall and costs £5 (Options+ Leisure discount is available). Parents or carers must stay with their child at all times. Pre-booking is not required.
'Quids In' football
at The Dell Stadium
Football - Quids In! Come and have a kick about on our fantastic 3G pitch. Just bring yourself, friends and a football!
Session dates and times:
Monday 21 July to Friday 29 August (excluding weekends)
9.30am to 12.30pm and 1pm to 4pm
Cost: 8 - 15 year olds can play for only £1 and 16+ year olds can play for only £2
Please note that the session is unsupervised. Appropriate football boots required - only moulded, screw in plastic, nylon and rubber studs under 15mm allowed. Failure to wear the appropriate footwear will result in you being refused admission.
Term time sessions
The stadium also runs 'Quids In' session during term time: Monday to Friday, 3.00pm to 5.00pm.
'Quids In' badminton
at Duncan Edwards and Crystal Leisure Centres
Get active for less this summer with our ‘Quids In’ badminton sessions - exclusively for 8 to 15 year olds! Play for just £1.
Just bring yourself, friend and equipment, alternatively, equipment is available free of charge at the centres.*
Courts are available from Tuesday 22 July to Friday 29 August on selected dates and times - subject to availability.

Badminton and Table-tennis

Badminton and table-tennis is suitable for children over 8 years of age. Courts/tables are available throughout the week at various times. Just give us a call to check the availability.

Pickleball
at Crystal Leisure Centre
Children can enjoy a game of pickleball at Crystal Leisure Centre. Just bring a friend and your equipment. Alternatively, equipment can be hired.
Pickleball is a fun sport that combines elements of badminton, tennis, and table tennis. Played on a badminton-sized court and a slightly modified tennis net, two or four players use solid paddles made of wood or composite materials to hit a perforated polymer ball, over a net.
Courts are available throughout the week at various times. A court can be hired for casual bookings for any age group.
