Swimming at DBLeisure
Swimming is available at Crystal, Duncan Edwards and Halesowen Leisure Centres.
Swimming lessons / sessions are available at Crystal, Duncan Edwards and Halesowen Leisure Centres. We cater for all ages and abilities, from parent and toddler sessions, through to pre-school, junior and adult. These take place throughout the year. All instructors are qualified and experienced swimming teachers who constantly encourage, help and support all swimmers.

Pre-booking is not required for our general/public swimming sessions.
Crystal Leisure Centre
Crystal’s leisure pool offers fun and enjoyment for the whole family. With waves, rapids, slides, fan sprays and other water features you're guaranteed a fun-filled day out.
Our 25m pool caters for those wanting a more serious swim and serves as a teaching pool.
The centre has recently undergone refurbishment works to the 25 metre pool and changing rooms which offer improved changing, toilet and shower facilities.
It also offers a Changing Places provision (a height adjustable changing bench, a peninsular toilet and a celling hoist)
There is a hoist for disabled access into the 25m pool and a pool wheelchair for disabled access into the leisure pool.

Medical Lockers
If you require safe and accessible storage for medical appliances such as epiphen’s whilst you swim, you are most welcome to use our medical lockers situated on the poolside area in both our leisure pool and 25m pool.
Please ensure you follow the below procedure:

You must request a medical locker key from the lifeguard positioned on the bands board

The lifeguard will issue a key to you

You are to place your medical items in the locker and retain full responsibility for the key during your swim

Keys must not be handed back to staff for safekeeping during the session

You are responsible for keeping the key safe and must return it to the bands board after their session
-
Lockers are clearly marked with a green first aid cross and are to be used for medical purposes only
-
A token is already inside each locker, so no coin is required
Duncan Edwards Leisure Centre
This new state-of-the-art facility boasts of two pools - a 25 metre, eight-lane swimming pool and teaching pool with spectator provision.

It also has a large changing village (unisex) with Changing Places provision (a height adjustable changing bench, a peninsular toilet and a celling hoist) and user controlled pool pod for disabled access into the pool.

Halesowen Leisure Centre
This recently refurbished contemporary facility boasts two pools - a 25 metre, six-lane swimming pool and a learner pool with spectator provision.
It also has a large changing village (unisex) with accessible changing and toilet provision and a mechanical hoist on the poolside for disabled access into the pool.

Free Swimming
Free swimming is available during Dudley borough school holidays for residents aged 16 and under. Registration is required. Please visit Free Swimming for more information.

Help your children develop water safety awareness and lifesaving skills by going through this booklet with them. It is important for vital information to be understood and for any questions to be answered. We recommend discussing the messages with the children and how it may apply to them
