Crystal swimming pools
times and information
The centre has recently undergone refurbishment works to the 25 metre pool and changing rooms which offer improved changing, toilet and shower facilities. The leisure pool and 25 metre pool have now re-opened.
The leisure pool offers fun and enjoyment for the whole family. With waves, rapids, slides, fan sprays and other water features you're guaranteed a fun-filled day out. Our 25m pool caters for those wanting a more serious swim or just want to improve their swimming technique.

Swimming is probably the best form of all round exercise available. It’s also a great way to relax and refresh yourself after a stressful day.
Lockers are available in various sizes which are £1 coin returnable.

Pre-booking is not required for the leisure pool or the 25m pool.

Swimming rules
-
All persons aged 8 and over may enter the pools unaccompanied (except family swimming sessions). Please see ‘Session types’ above to ensure you attend the appropriate session.
-
All children under the age of 8 years old must be accompanied into the water by an adult or responsible person over 16 years of age. One adult may accompany up to two children under 8.
-
During the school holidays, children participating in Free Swimming must be accompanied into the centre by a responsible adult aged 18 years and above. The accompanying adult does NOT need to swim unless the child is under 8 years of age. If children aged 8 and over attend the pool unaccompanied by an adult, they may still swim but this will be charged at the standard rate.

If your baby is under a year old, it is recommended that you limit your time in the water to 30 minutes maximum. Babies lose heat more quickly than adults, so they shouldn't stay in the pool for too long.

Swimming sessions will be limited to a maximum of one hour in the leisure pool during peak periods and free swimming sessions.
