Course: STA Award in Aquatic Teaching – Disability Swimming

If you are a swimming teacher who wants to broaden their skills, why not upskill your qualifications in order to teach as a disability swimming teacher?

Once qualified, you'll be able to teach the STA Rockhopper and Emperor series – specific disability awards that focus on skills and distance.

The course is being held at Crystal Leisure Centre on the following dates:

Friday, 23 October 2026

Thursday, 29 October 2026

Friday, 30 October 2026

Entry requirements:

• Be at least 16 years of age

• Hold the STA Level 2 Award in Teaching Swimming or acceptable equivalent (please note: a Level 1 Award in Aquatic Teaching / assistance qualification is not an acceptable entry requirement).
