Free Swimming
At Crystal, Duncan Edwards and Halesowen Leisure Centres
Free swimming is returning for children in the borough over the school holidays – but youngsters will now have to be accompanied by an adult aged 18 years or above.
The offer will be available at all of our leisure centres - Duncan Edwards Leisure Centre in Dudley, Crystal Leisure Centre in Stourbridge and Halesowen Leisure Centre.
Free swimming will run from Tuesday 21 July to Monday 31 August inclusive and any child aged 16 or under living in the borough can sign up.

Young people taking advantage of the free swimming offer must be supervised by a responsible adult aged 18 or over. They do not have to accompany children over the age of eight into the swimming pool but must remain in the leisure centre and be contactable should any issues arise.
Children under the age of eight must be accompanied into the water by an adult or responsible person over 18 years of age. One adult must accompany no more than two children under the age of eight into the swimming pool.
Children aged 16 and under who turn up unaccompanied will be charged the normal admission price.
People who are not previously registered for free swimming must do so at www.freeswimindudley.co.uk in advance of their swim.
Junior intensive swimming courses at Duncan Edwards Leisure Centre
Duncan Edwards Leisure Centre will be running two intensive swimming courses during the summer holidays for children aged 3 years and over.
The 30-minute lessons are suitable for beginners and improvers who can swim no more than 5 metres.
Courses are available as follows:
Monday 17 August to Friday 21 August
12.00pm - 12:30pm, 12.30pm - 1.00pm, 1.00pm - 1.30pm, 1.30pm - 2.00pm, 2.00pm - 2.30pm and 2.30pm - 3.00pm
Monday 24 August to Friday 28 August
9.00am - 9.30am, 9.30am - 10.00am, 10.00am - 10.30am, 10.30am - 11.00am, 11.00am - 11.30am and 11.30am - 12.00pm

£41.00 per course (Options+ Leisure Discount members receive a 50% discount).

SEND Family Disability Swims
SEND family disability swims, which are designed for people with disabilities, special educational needs and ASD, will be held at Crystal Leisure Centre, Duncan Edwards Leisure Centre and Halesowen Leisure Centre. Children can use the free-swimming offer for these sessions.
Crystal Leisure Centre: Friday, 2pm to 4pm (last admission 2.45pm)
Duncan Edwards Leisure Centre: Wednesday, 2.45pm to 4.30pm and Saturday, 1.15pm to 2.15pm
Halesowen Leisure Centre: Saturday, 2.15pm to 3.30pm
Please be aware that this is not a coached session and children under the age of eight must be accompanied in and out of the water by a responsible person aged at least 16 years old.

Waikiki Waves Family Disco
at Crystal Leisure Centre
Come along and have fun at our family water disco!
Exclusively for families* only! Come along and have fun in the leisure pool at our water disco, with music from a DJ.
Bodyboards and beachballs can be brought into the session (not surf boards). Other inflatables, flippers and snorkels are NOT permitted.

Fridays (all year round), 6.00pm - 8.00pm (last admission 6.45pm)
Tuesdays (throughout the summer holidays) 5.30pm - 8.00pm (last admission 6.45pm)
Wave machine - out of order
Due to an ongoing technical fault, the wave machine is currently out of order. These sessions will still go ahead but standard leisure pool admission prices will apply, instead of Waikiki Waves pricing. All other features within the leisure pool are working as normal. Our team are continuing to investigate the fault and resolve the issue as soon as possible. We apologise for the inconvenience.

Float Fest - Family Fun Adventure at Duncan Edwards Leisure Centre
Jump into a float-filled splash zone! Expect BIG fun and plenty of giggles!
Taking place in the main pool only, children* and their families can have lots of fun on our floats!

Monday and Friday, 12.30pm to 2.15pm
An array of floats will be available.

Normal admission prices apply. The free swimming offer and Options+ discount scheme are NOT included in this session.

Planet Play (soft play)
The Planet Play areas at Duncan Edwards Leisure Centre and Halesowen Leisure Centre offer soft play sessions for children up to the age of 11 during school holidays. People are advised to call in advance to check opening times and availability. More information on soft play at DB Leisure.

Under 5s Splash Time
at Halesowen Leisure Centre
Come along and get your little ones water confident!
This is a non-instructor led session that takes place in the learner pool. A variety of toys, including watering cans and boats will be available for your child to enjoy.

Monday: 9.30am to 11.30am (school holiday only)
Friday: 9.30am to 11.30am (all year round)
Pre-booking not required, normal admission prices apply.
This session is not included in the free swimming scheme and is suitable for children under five years of age and parents / carers only.
Under 5s Stay and Play
at Crystal Leisure Centre
Stay and Play fun session for under 5s is a great way for you and your little one to interact with other families and make new friends in a fun, friendly and relaxed environment.
This supervised session includes a range of fun and exciting toys such as a bouncy castle, soft balls, frisbees, foam bricks, tricycles, sit and ride cars and bikes. Educational toys are also available (road and traffic signs).
Day and time of session
Tuesday: 10am - 11.30am (all year round)
This ‘turn up and pay’ session takes place in our sports hall and costs £5.10 (Options+ Leisure discount is available). Parents or carers must stay with their child at all times. Pre-booking is not required.
'Quids In' football
at The Dell Stadium
Football - Quids In! Come and have a kick about on our fantastic 3G pitch. Just bring yourself, friends and a football!
Session day and time:
Monday to Friday
9.30am to 12.30pm and 1pm to 4pm
Cost: 8 to 15 year olds can play for only £1 and 16+ year olds can play for only £2
Useful Information: Please note that the session is unsupervised. Appropriate football boots required - only moulded, screw in plastic, nylon and rubber studs under 15mm allowed. Failure to wear the appropriate footwear will result in you being refused admission.
Term time sessions
The stadium also runs 'Quids In' session during term time: Monday to Friday, 3.00pm to 5.00pm.
'Quids In' badminton
at Crystal and Duncan Edwards leisure centres
Get active for less with our ‘Quids In’ badminton sessions - exclusively for 8 to 15 year olds! Play for just £1. Just bring yourself, friend and equipment, alternatively, equipment is available free of charge at the centre.*
Courts are available on selected dates and times - subject to availability.

Children can enjoy a game of badminton and table-tennis at our centres. Just bring a friend and your equipment. Alternatively, equipment can be hired.
Badminton and table-tennis is suitable for children over 8 years of age. Courts/tables are available throughout the week at various times. Just give us a call to check the availability.

Pickleball
at Crystal Leisure Centre
Children can enjoy a game of pickleball at Crystal Leisure Centre. Just bring a friend and your equipment. Alternatively, equipment can be hired.
Pickleball is a fun sport that combines elements of badminton, tennis, and table tennis. Played on a badminton-sized court and a slightly modified tennis net, two or four players use solid paddles made of wood or composite materials to hit a perforated polymer ball, over a net.
Courts are available throughout the week at various times. A court can be hired for casual bookings for any age group.

Compact Pickleball
at Halesowen Leisure Centre
Improves coordination, fitness and balance; making it ideal for casual play with friends or family and a great way to try something new indoors!
Compact Pickleball (Non-Regulation Size) is played in one of our squash courts, making it a fun and accessible racket sport that’s easy to try, whatever your age or experience.
